About

Who is KLANGEIST?

Lars-Ole Kremer and Bob Kessels, founders of KLANGEIST, bring a wealth of experience as both band musicians and composers, shaped by their formative years in the vibrant music scene of Berlin.

As band musicians, Bob and Lars-Ole developed a keen understanding of rhythm, melody, and harmony, learning how to craft compelling musical narratives that resonated with audiences. Their collaborative efforts within the Berlin music scene allowed them to experiment with diverse musical styles, further expanding their creative horizons and shaping their identities as composers.

Drawing from their experiences, as well as musical studies at the Berlin University of Performing Arts (SOPA) and their immersion in the Berlin music scene, Bob and Lars-Ole founded KLANGEIST as a platform to channel their collective creativity and passion for music into crafting bespoke compositions for film, TV, commercials, games, and business content. Inspired by iconic composers such as Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newman, and James Horner, Bob and Lars-Ole infuse KLANGEIST’s music with a sense of cinematic grandeur, blending orchestral elements with electronic textures to create immersive soundscapes that enhance visual narratives and captivate audiences.

Through KLANGEIST, Bob and Lars-Ole make it their goal to deliver captivating compositions for their clients, which can range from film directors to business owners or TV producers, leveraging their background as band musicians and composers to create music that is not only fitting to the project, but also emotionally resonant.

Lars-Ole and Bob met during their time at the Berlin based band Steppers Division, in which they were part of the original line up. The band is renowned for its eclectic fusion of soul, afrobeats and pop influences. Through their experiences in Steppers Division, Bob and Lars-Ole not only honed their skills as musicians but also cultivated a deep appreciation for the power of music to evoke emotion and tell stories.

Their journey from band musicians to composers has imbued them with a unique perspective and a deep understandingfor the transformative power of music, driving them to create compositions that leave a lasting impression to everyone that hears it.
